On site, you will be asked to pay the "tourist tax" which hotels must collect on behalf of the city.
The hotel may also ask you for a pre-authorisation at check-in which is useful in case you have to pay any charges or for the deposit but this amount won't be charged. Some readersWhat is the tourist tax?
The tourist tax is what we call in the jargon, an imponderable.

The amount is fixed and varies according to the category of the hotel. You will therefore be required to pay it directly to the hotel when you check in.Few readers
